Mat 13:52 He said to them, Therefore every teacher and interpreter of the Sacred Writings who has been instructed about and trained for the kingdom of heaven and has become a disciple is like a householder who brings forth out of his storehouse treasure that is new and [treasure that is] old [the fresh as well as the familiar].
It is always interesting to me how a word that is really from the Spirit of Christ retains its relevancy from year to year. It is as if the breath of Heaven it contains prevents it from suffering any form of decay! Such has been my experience with the Daily Devotional I wrote a few years ago. It has really startled me at times just how relevant its contents are in the year we are now walking through. AND it has been my most requested book for a number of years running! Until now, readers outside South Africa only had the E-Book version available, but now I have knuckled down and printed a paperback version for those who prefer the feel of paper between their fingers! It may have a new cover but this second edition of the original has all the content of the well-loved version PLUS a few extra bits! For those who think one only purchases Devotionals at the beginning of the year, I must remind you that the Holy Spirit does not put off His life-giving input until the Roman New Year rolls over. And although I wrote the contents myself, I keep a copy beside my bed and on many days, have been dumbfounded at the way the Spirit speaks to me from the short daily passage. It is so good to check my compass needle is pointing to true North on a regular basis – even if the Lord uses something He gave me to write! And, let’s face it, we all have days when we wake up and desperately need an encouraging word to give us a reason to keep pressing forward! Especially as the world grows darker!
Because print-on-demand is an expensive way of book production, I have decided to make this Devotional available at a 15% discount until the end of the year, so you can order one for $14.44 – which is a pretty good investment for 365 days of good spiritual nourishment!
It has never been more important for the Bride of Christ to get herself ready and make the necessary changes and preparations to ensure that she is not taken by surprise when she hears the sound of the shofar announcing her Bridegroom’s imminent arrival. In a world that grows increasingly dark with each passing day, we cannot look to the world for wisdom in making life-changing decisions. We must seek the face of Him Who is Wisdom and learn daily by the light of the seven lamps before the throne. This One Year Devotional deals with heart issues and the role of the Bride of Christ as the light of the world in an hour in which she is desperately needed to stand up and be all God intended her to be.
